Kids climb rocks, crawl through bushes, and slide down hills. The Kids' Outdoor Shell Pants are built for that. We use a 70D nylon with a waterproof coating (8,000mm). The fabric has a ripstop grid. The knees are reinforced with an extra layer. The seat is also reinforced. The Kids' Outdoor Shell Pants have a fully elastic waist with a drawcord. The ankles have zippered openings to fit over boots.

These pants are for rugged use. They have two deep front pockets and one cargo pocket on the thigh. The cargo pocket has a flap with a Velcro closure. The zippers are all plastic coil - rust-proof. The seams are fully taped. We tested the Kids' Outdoor Shell Pants in a rock-scrape test - no tears. The pants are machine washable.
